Halfway House Inn is currently closed due to fire damage

We're devastated to confirm that a fire early on 27th October has closed the inn. Thankfully no one was injured in blaze, but it'll be a while before repairs are complete and we can re-open.
Don't forget about us while we're out of action, come and enjoy lovely food and a warm welcome at our sister cafe Trevisker's Kitchen + Dining.

What a great welcome! Great food, friendly and happy staff. We stopped for lunch after walking part of the Saints Way and couldn’t have found a nicer place to stop. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and service!!!! Eaten at the halfway tonight absolutely fantastic as always! Shame about the old negative reviews as the pub has been under new management for the past 6 months…. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Loved it! The food was incredibly good and the warm, friendly welcome was an absolute joy. Portions were generous as was the good humour from the chef who visited all the tables. Good wine options. Gem of a place.

This is a brilliant pub! Wood burner, great food and local beer! Just had a super meal at this new refurbished pub. The staff are super helpful. Lindsey made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Just get a taxi there and back, enjoy the fire in the winter and home cooked food. It’s simply just a great pub! Had that old school welcome feel, great menu. Enjoy.

Ensure you book! We booked a table for 4 adults and 2 children for Sunday carvery. Whilst we were there front of house had to turn away 4 separate families who just walked in without booking! The service was attentive and faultless. The carvery was extremely tasty, the choice of vegetables was vast. The sweet potato a favourite.
