Henk de Villiers Ferreira chef at Halfway House Inn
Henk was born in South Africa and attended Dale College in King William’s Town before studying at The University of Pretoria.  A variety of roles soon followed including stints with the South African Football Association and The Protea Hotel Group before the bright lights of Cornwall beckoned in 1997.

His grandfather was a cattle farmer and beef has always been close to his heart, butchery skills were honed in the boning hall at St Merryn Foods. Different chef positions around Wadebridge and Padstow led to Trevose Golf and Country Club where Henk ran the kitchens for 5 years. A keen golfer he is still a member at Trevose.

The owner of the Halfway House Inn, Wadebridge he is a passionate advocate of Cornish Beef!
